Seas the Day

Well, we've barely been in California a week and we decided to take a trip! We drove down to Nipomo California and spent the weekend with the California Murrays.  We had an action packed weekend and really enjoyed seeing the ocean and soaking in some vitamin D.  On Saturday we went paddle boarding with my Aunt and Uncle. We had an adventurous paddle that was basically like a going through an aquarium. We passed sea otters floating together and we also saw Sea Lions chillin on the boat docks barking loudly. We paddled all the way to a cute little lighthouse and enjoyed walking around and taking in the view. My favorite part was a giant swing that overlooked the ocean. While swinging you felt like you were flying over the ocean, I did not want to get off. Saturday afternoon we went to the Strawberry Festival, a local event the city has once a year. There were lots of strawberries (which are basically straight from the field) and lots of booths with crafts from local artists. W

Our first week in California has gone by fast, but we are loving every second of it. We've fallen into more of a routine of things and enjoy exploring Los Altos. Brennan started his internship and is enjoying himself and I have been trying to stay busy until I start my job in a couple of weeks. Brennan's first day! Brennan loves EA. He loves being part of a big company and learning about their finance things. Basically, he sits at a desk all day and makes models in Excel, sometimes he goes to meetings and sometimes he takes breaks and plays video games. Not too hard. He is getting along great with his boss and they probably think that Brennan is the best intern they've ever had. He really does enjoy diving deeper in finance and getting hands on experience. Well after packing like an alpaca, and cleaning like Cinderella then driving for two days we made it to Los Altos California! We had some adventures on the trip over, and so far we have been loving every bit of California! Car trippin  The bugs on our car Thursday we left Provo and drove to Winnemucca Nevada. It was pretty driving by the Great Salt Lake, and then the view got ugly while driving through Nevada. We finally got to Winnemucca  and there were bugs everywhere. We stepped out of the car and were attacked, bugs got in my mouth and eyes. The front of our car was covered in a healthy layer of bugs.
