This is a video I made for Maren's lesson in Relief Society. We weren't a fan of the Mormon Message video on eternal families so we made our own. It's quite similar though.

    wow, that's a nice video. What did you make it with? those were cool transitions where it zooms out and you see other pictures or families and then zooms back into a different video. COOL!

Last weekend was my birthday and also National Public Lands Day, which translates to free day at National Parks. Well, I jumped at this opportunity to explore Muir Woods because usually, it is $10 a person for a day pass and Brennan and I are frugal people (sometimes). I planned the day out very well because there were many things I wanted to see in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area after we were done exploring Muir Woods. The evening before we left I made a power point Presentation and presented it to Brennan so he would have a clear picture of everything we were going to do. He's a business major and sometimes you just have to speak his language, through excel sheets and power points.  It took a lot of planning because we had to get parking reservations and work out all the timings right. The economy may not be regressing, but our baby is

Apparently, there's this thing called "The four month sleep regression" that babies go through when they're four months. Yeah, this was not in the (non-existent) handbook. This happened just as I thought her sleep routine was perfect. She was sleeping for about 8 hours, everyone was happy, now no one is. This led to many hours of Googling. Ok side note, how in the world did anyone know how to parent a child without Google? I think I ask Google a parenting question ten times a day. Hey Google, what does it mean if my baby's poop is green, all they drink is milk? Hey Google, how do I use a bulb syringe to get snot from my baby's nose? I even asked Alexa to play womb noises one night. The Barracks

Ok so some more funny army stories.  Like I had mentioned, I am fascinated by military life, I think that everything is quite neat.  I get to drive on post two or three times week for work,and whenever we are driving around I always just stare out the window at all the army personnel. I am always full of questions about the army and how certain logistics work.  Luckily I met two soldiers in the YSA branch to answer all my questions.  One evening I was with them and I asked them what their barracks looked like.  They thought that was a weird question but preceded to answer in, then one of them stopped in the middle and said “we can just show”  My first thought is “I’m actually allowed in the barracks?”  So we pulled up to the first soldier’s barracks and we have to go through the front door and he has to sign me in and I have to show ID. This seems way legit to me.  The lobby looked fun enough, there were table games and comfy couches and chairs....
