This is a video I made for Maren's lesson in Relief Society. We weren't a fan of the Mormon Message video on eternal families so we made our own. It's quite similar though.

    wow, that's a nice video. What did you make it with? those were cool transitions where it zooms out and you see other pictures or families and then zooms back into a different video. COOL!

Fall is here and with it a new semester and marching band! I spent the week before school marching and practicing 11 hours a day. I was swamped with new music and new ways to march, > but I survived band camp and lived to see our first home game, BYU vs UW. It was very nerve-breaking to march out onto a field surrounded by a packed stadium, but all went well and I didn't faint due to heat exhaustion, th ough it was quite hot and I was wearing a wool uniform. The band is quite exhilarating and I'm always meeting new people or learning new things. The new semester is also going well, I'm trying to keep up in all my classes as my homework time competes with my marching band time. My favorite class is Book of Mormon, I love discovering new insights when I read.

Forgetting about New Year's Resolutions and other New Year thoughts

I feel that this last week I've seen so many posts on social media about what goals people are setting as New Year's resolutions, and what they want to do to change their lives for the better. Two things crossed my mind when I scrolled through these posts. Number one, why does it take a new year for people to make goals? I guess I understand new beginnings and starting over, but if there is something that you want to change in your life, why do we have to wait for a new year or a new month? Why can't we just make the change daily? I'm sure there are some people who do try to set new goals throughout the year, I just wish it was more of a thing. We don't need to wait to change our habits, we just need the motivation and grit to make the changes daily, weekly or monthly.
