Lochte vs Phelps

The olympics are pretty spectacular.  During the last summer olympics in Beijing I fell in love with Michael Phelps.  He was the greatest swimmer of all times and I thought he was rather good looking. This year I was excited to watch him win more gold medals and break more records. I knew he was the greatest and never stopped cheering for him. Ryan Lochte however kind of came out of nowhere. I did not know who he was till this year. I am proud to say that I never went over to the Lochte side. I cheered for him in his other races but always cheered for Phelps when they were racing each other. Lochte does have a an attractive smile but Phelps is just a better athlete. He has broken the record for the athlete with the most olympic medals. Basically Phelps is spectacular and Lochte just wants to try to seem cool. Yes he did beat Phelps at one race, but that only happened once.  Lochte just wants attention and he thinks that beating Phelps is the way to get that attention. It may have worked for a day but really everyone knows that Phelps is the greatest swimmer ever.

Sand,Strawberries and SUP's

Well, we've barely been in California a week and we decided to take a trip! We drove down to Nipomo California and spent the weekend with the California Murrays.  We had an action packed weekend and really enjoyed seeing the ocean and soaking in some vitamin D.  On Saturday we went paddle boarding with my Aunt and Uncle. We had an adventurous paddle that was basically like a going through an aquarium. We passed sea otters floating together and we also saw Sea Lions chillin on the boat docks barking loudly. We paddled all the way to a cute little lighthouse and enjoyed walking around and taking in the view. My favorite part was a giant swing that overlooked the ocean. While swinging you felt like you were flying over the ocean, I did not want to get off. Saturday afternoon we went to the Strawberry Festival, a local event the city has once a year. Welcome to the South

Introducing.....The new look for my blog.  I decided that the old look was childish and unprofessional, so now I am going for a new theme and an attempt to make it seem like I'm a semi-adult (which we all know is false).  Also I still don't know about the title yet, so maybe that will change as I think of new ideas.   The Cumberland River, that runs through Clarksville  Ok now time for the fun stuff.  I am going to start blogging about my summer in the south! I am spending ten weeks in Clarksville Tennessee as I do an internship at a military recreation camp.  When I say military I mean Army, which is currently my favorite branch of the military.  Clarksville is located right outside of Fort Campbell, commonly referred to as "post" around here.  Fort Campbell is located half in Kentucky and half in Tennessee, so on a weekly basis I travel to and from Kentucky.  I will write more about my "army" life in a different post, for now let's t...

tests and trumpets

I'm just hanging out with Harold (as in Harold B Lee Library) and decided that perhaps I could post again on my blog and express my feelings about life, or complain or maybe just discuss life. I'm a sophomore now and life is hard. Actually life isn't hard, classes are hard, no not classes, just tests. The times I spend in the testing center are probably the most complicated hours of my life. I have to use my backup brain when I go into that beautiful building. What an oxymoron, seriously. I think that the Grant Testing Center is one of the most elegant buildings on campus, it's one of the older buildings so it has a nice authentic look to it. I especially love the windows they are gorgeous. However I dread going into that building only because I know that every time I go into that building I'm going to come out with a different GPA, either higher or lower but usually it seems like lower. Ok ok so not every test I take is going to affect my overall GPA but sometime...
