Deep in Muir Woods

Last weekend was my birthday and also National Public Lands Day, which translates to free day at National Parks. Well, I jumped at this opportunity to explore Muir Woods because usually, it is $10 a person for a day pass and Brennan and I are frugal people (sometimes). I planned the day out very well because there were many things I wanted to see in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area after we were done exploring Muir Woods. The evening before we left I made a power point Presentation and presented it to Brennan so he would have a clear picture of everything we were going to do. He's a business major and sometimes you just have to speak his language, through excel sheets and power points.  It took a lot of planning because we had to get parking reservations and work out all the timings right. Happiest Cruise on Earth

15 people, 7 cabins, 5 days, 1 Disney Dream. This was the first time I have ever experienced acruise and hopefully it will not be the last. My family, plus my grandma and my aunt and uncle and cousin all were apart of this amazing adventure. The cruise went to Disney's private island Castaway Cay, then to Nassau in the Bahamas then back to Castaway Cay. It was probably the best week of my year. I loved being next to the ocean constantly it gave me such a peaceful happy feeling. Here are the highlights from the cruise: Color of the cruise: Yellow. Before the cruise I purchased 2 new pair of shoes, both yellow, and I wore both apair many times, with yellow shirts. I enjoyed looking like summer when the weather was so nice out. Word of the cruise: Multumesc. This means "thank you" in Romanian. Our waiter at dinner was from Romanian and taught it to me so I continued to use it all week whenever he brought me food. Burnt grilled cheese sandwiches and other wife fails

We moved to California about three weeks ago and I keep telling myself I need to write in my blog again, as you can see from the last entry it was more than a year ago. Sometimes I just need encouragement to write, and good thing I have a friend that kind of nudged me to keep up my blog, so here it goes. As the title suggests, since moving out to California I have had multiple wife fails that after they happened are really funny, so why not share them.  #1 The grilled cheese sandwich              We have a fresh basil plant so I was really excited to make tomato basil bisque and then some grilled cheese sandwiches to go with it, plus it was within the first week of moving here and we hadn't really gotten a lot of food yet.
